referral link tracker
Referral link tracker for creators: see which share sent the clicks
DealPage is a referral link tracker that labels every short link with where you shared it and counts clicks by post, reply, DM, group and newsletter.
What a referral link tracker should tell you
The program you are referring for usually tells you how many people signed up with your code. It rarely tells you where they came from. If you shared the offer in five places, the useful question is which of the five did the work.
A creator-side tracker answers that by giving each place its own link. Clicks are counted per link, so the comparison is direct rather than guessed.
How DealPage counts
Each Deal can have several short links of the form /go/code. Each one carries a source label: post, reply, DM, group or newsletter. When someone clicks, DealPage records the time, the country, the device type and the source, then sends the visitor on.
Clicks from known bots are not counted. Unique visitors are estimated with a hash that changes daily, so DealPage does not store visitor IP addresses.
What it does not count
DealPage counts clicks, not sign-ups. Sign-ups happen on the brand's site, and DealPage does not receive conversion data from them. The brand report shows conversions as not connected rather than as zero.
Use the two together: the program's dashboard for how many signed up, DealPage for where the clicks came from.
