Sponsored post landing page: where the click from a paid post should go
DealPage is a creator deal page builder that sends the clicks from a sponsored post through your own page and turns them into a report you can share with the sponsor.
Why not link straight to the sponsor
Linking straight to the sponsor's site is simplest, and sometimes the sponsor requires it. The cost is that you have no numbers of your own. You are relying on whatever the sponsor chooses to share back, and every follow-up post looks the same as the first one.
A landing page in between gives you your own count of clicks, lets you fix a wrong link after posting, and gives late readers something better than an expired promotion.
What the page should say
State that it is a sponsored partnership. Then the offer, the code if there is one, your honest view of the product, and an FAQ. Sponsors tend to like a page that sounds like you rather than a copy of their ad.
Check the agreement before adding anything the sponsor has not approved, such as comparisons with competitors.
From clicks to a report
In DealPage the sponsored post links to a short link labelled post, and any follow-ups get their own labels. After the campaign you can share a brand report link: headline numbers, a click curve marking when you posted, clicks by source, top countries and a comparison with your previous Deal.
Sharing the brand report is a Pro feature. The report page is not indexed by search engines, and you can revoke its link.
Frequently asked
- Will the sponsor see conversions in the report?
- Only clicks. DealPage does not receive conversion data, so the report shows conversions as not connected instead of a misleading zero.
- Can I change the link after the sponsored post is live?
- Yes. Change the destination once in DealPage and the short link in the post goes to the new one.
- Is the brand report public?
- Anyone with the link can view it, but it is marked noindex so search engines do not list it, and you can revoke the link.
