How to report results to a sponsor after a post

DealPage is a creator deal page builder that turns the clicks on your sponsored links into a report page you can send the sponsor as a single link.

What sponsors look for

Most sponsors want three things: did people click, where did they come from, and was it better or worse than last time. Views alone answer none of these well, because views are counted differently on every platform.

They also want to read it quickly. A short report with a few numbers and one chart gets read; a folder of screenshots gets filed.

Numbers you can honestly report

Clicks on your links, split by where you shared them. Clicks over time, with the moment you posted marked. Countries the clicks came from. If you ran an earlier deal, the same numbers for comparison.

Do not report sign-ups or sales unless you have them from the program. If you only have clicks, say so. Sponsors can check conversions on their side, and a creator who overstated them once is not booked again.

Sending it

A link to a live report is easier for both sides than a file. The sponsor can open it again later, and the numbers are the same ones you see.

DealPage's brand report is built for this: four headline numbers, the click curve with the posting time, clicks by source, top five countries, comparison with your previous Deal, and a button to book the next one. Sharing it requires Pro.

Frequently asked

Should I send screenshots or a link?
A link to a live report is easier to read and to revisit, and it shows the same numbers you see. Screenshots are fine as a backup.
What if I only have click data?
Report clicks and say clearly that sign-ups are tracked on the sponsor's side. DealPage's report shows conversions as not connected rather than zero.
When should I send the report?
Agree the timing up front; many creators send a first look a few days after posting and a final one when the deal ends.
